FEMALE RUNNERS

We are proud to be leading the way with female participation at mixed ultra marathon events in the UK. 40% of our start line were women at our ultra marathon events in 2023 and that is just the start.

CUT OFF TIMES

  • We have generous cut-off times that are based on a pace of no more than 3 miles per hour.

  • We provide you with a pace chart on every event page to help you.

  • We do not have cut-off times at checkpoints. You can run your race at your pace.

  • When you finish the flags will still be flying, regardless of when you cross the finish line. You deserve to receive the same experience as everyone else. If you arrive with 10 minutes to spare, then you are 10 minutes early.

TROPHIES

  • If you podium in the Female Class, you will receive a trophy that is identical to the Open Class.

  • First place finishers will be celebrated equally on social media and on podcasts like the Tea & Trails Podcast.

  • If you finish in 1st place and do not want your result shared via a particular channel, then please let us know at the finish line.

TEES

  • You have the option to purchase a unisex or female fit tee. We make unisex tees available because around half the women who take part in our events prefer unisex tees.

  • The tees are available in sizes ranging from XS to XXL.

  • We include size guides and these show chest, body and sleeve length.

EQUAL COVERAGE

  • We will try to use language on our website, social media and email communication that is inviting and welcoming.

  • Our photos, event coverage and results will be representative of everyone.

  • The Female and Open Class are separate races and will be celebrated equally.

TOILETS AT THE START AND FINISH

  • We provide female sex toilets at the start and finish of the Yorkshire Wolds Ultra.

  • We provide outdoor unisex single toilet cubicles at the start and finish of the Wold Rangers Way Ultra and Tibthope Loop.

TOILETS ON THE COURSE

  • We provide 3 separate toilet locations along the route of every ultra marathon event. The toilets are normally single toilet cubicles and are either gender specific or unisex.

MENSTRUAL PRODUCTS

  • Menstrual products are available in all female toilets at start and finish.

  • Menstrual products are also stored in a container at all checkpoints and are available upon request.

CHANGING ROOMS

  • We provide female sex communal changing rooms at the start and finish of the Yorkshire Wolds Ultra.

  • Communal showers and single toilet cubicles are also available in all changing rooms.

PREGNANCY

  • You can cancel your entry yourself via SiEntries and receive a 90% card refund within 5 working days of cancellation. The difference covers the SiEntries fees that we incur. This option is available for everyone.

BREASTFEEDING

  • If you are breastfeeding then please contact us if you have any specific needs, so that we can plan ahead.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • We will contact you after the event has taken place to ask for your feedback, so that we can encourage you and other runners to flourish at our events.
